Eclectically Cohesive Comfort

With a carefully curated blend of styles, this posh master suite highlights elements from traditional, Federal, and mid-century modern styles. The centerpiece bed is a four-post mahogany rice bed inspired by 18th century originals. Sumptuous, crisp, white hotel-style bedding with a subtle geometric border keeps the room feeling fresh and transitional. A Federal-style tallboy chest to the side features a prominent, mahogany burling which complements the dresser’s similar finish. The symmetrical arrangement around the bed lends balance and a soothing quality while wispy botanical prints both emphasize the traditional style and lighten the heavier furnishings. Across from the bed is a nod to mid-century styling with a pair of Eames-look Stressless lounge chairs, open shelving, and a gentleman’s bar. The two distinct spaces are brought together by the whimsically traditional book-look coffee table trunk.
