With a front row view of the Tennessee River, this extraordinary outdoor escape was designed to capitalize on the home’s location. It was also designed to be an extension of the home’s great entertaining spaces with multiple dining and seating areas, which allow for small or large gatherings. The wrought iron furniture is covered in a mixture of soft, neutral-colored fabrics accented by vibrant splashes of color. Decking around this luxurious pool, spa, and upper terraces of the outdoor entertaining venue features a mixture of specialty stone including travertine tiles, Tennessee fieldstone, and Indiana limestone to create a cohesive appearance that blends perfectly with the home’s exteriors.
The pool itself features a swim-under grotto that is topped by a spill-over waterfall. Under the enormous piece of Indiana limestone that creates the grotto’s roof, the alcove behind the waterfall features an underwater bench which seats four to six people. Both walls of the grotto are accentuated by 31-inch copper fire bowls filled with lava rock. Opposite the swim-under grotto is the pool’s geometric hot spa. The seven-foot spa is faced with dry stacked Tennessee fieldstone and boasts a spill-front waterfall as well. The combination of waterfall sound effects, a stunning view of the river, and multiple areas to relax and entertain makes this outdoor living space a uniquely luxurious escape.
